Strawberry Mango Salsa

Sharing is caring!

I can’t wait for you guys to try my strawberry mango salsa! The first time I had a fruit salsa was at my in-laws’ condo in Lake Geneva.

My sister-in-law’s niece, Mandy, made this wonderful concoction with what she had in the fridge, and voilà—we had the most marvelous fruit salsa ever.

As I remember correctly, I believe she used peaches instead of mango, which I prefer when they are super ripe and in season. Unfortunately, that’s not the case now, so I subbed in mango, which is excellent as well.

Why You’ll Love This Salsa

Strawberry mango salsa is not only beautiful to serve, but it is also so summery and fresh!

What a perfect thing for you to serve this holiday weekend. All you have to do is a little chopping and dicing, open up a bag of chips, and you are good to go!

Ingredients & Flavor Profile

This amazing salsa is a combination of strawberries, mango, avocado, jalapeño pepper, cilantro, garlic, red onion, lime juice, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.

Chop all this up and let it marinate for about an hour if you have the time to let the flavors meld.

If for some reason your fruit is not sweet at all, add a pinch of sugar. I know this sounds weird, but the idea of sweet fruit with a little spice is what makes this combination so awesome.

Serving Suggestions

This delectable salsa can be served just with chips, or you can use it as a topper for fish or chicken tacos.

The possibilities are endless and super yummy whichever way you use it. For this holiday weekend, it would be perfect just on its own with some tortilla chips.

Perfect Drink Pairings

Any Memorial Day Cocktail from my list would be fabulous paired with this salsa as they are all fruity-based and would accompany this really well.

You could go all Mexican fare and make the Blackberry Margaritas—YUM! Whatever you serve, I’m sure it will be fantastic!
