Jack Frost Cocktail

Sharing is caring!

The Jack Frost cocktail is the most beautiful shade of blue that even Disney’s Elsa would approve of. After tasting this incredible drink she would proclaim it to be the Holiday Hit for the kingdom of Arendelle! I think we should all enjoy this drink throughout the holidays!

Since we all have a touch of princess magic in us, let’s check out the lighter and creamier version I’ve added to this festive favorite.

A Lighter Twist on a Classic

While various versions of the Jack Frost cocktail exist, many are crafted with Vodka and coconut cream, providing a tropical flair.

However, my rendition takes a lighter approach, focusing on the delightful combination of Empress Gin, Blue Curacao, Pineapple Juice, and Half and Half.

For an extra tropical touch, feel free to add a shot of creme of coconut.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Oz Empress Gin
  • 1 Oz Blue Curacao
  • 1 1/2 Oz Pineapple Juice
  • 2 Oz Half & Half
  • Blue Sugar For Rim (Optional)

Crafting the Jack Frost Magic

Creating this enchanting drink is as delightful as sipping it. Grab your bullet blender and follow these simple steps to concoct a potion worthy of Jack Frost and Elsa’s approval.

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ice:
    • For a bullet-type blender, fill it halfway with ice. If using a regular blender, add about 1 cup of ice.
  2. Blending the Elixir:
    • Add Empress Gin, Blue Curacao, Pineapple Juice, and Half & Half to the blender.
    • Blend well on the crush setting until you achieve a frosty and creamy consistency.
  3. Presentation in a Martini Glass:
    • Pour the magical elixir into a prepared martini-type glass, ready to dazzle your senses.

Empress Gin: The Star of the Show

My version of the Jack Frost cocktail features Empress Gin, known for its delectable taste and stunning purple hue derived from butterfly pea blossoms.

Paired with Blue Curacao, this combination creates a drink that not only tastes divine but is a feast for the eyes.

Save some Empress Gin for a Halloween treat known as the Hocus Pocus.

Preparing in Advance

For those who love planning ahead, the Jack Frost cocktail can be made in advance and stored in the fridge until it’s time to blend and serve.

This allows you to spend more time channeling your inner Elsa without missing a moment of the holiday magic.

Garnishing for Royalty

Elevate the presentation of your Jack Frost cocktail by rimming the glass with blue or silver sugar. Follow these simple steps for a touch of royalty:

  1. Fluffy Edges:
    • Lightly apply marshmallow fluff around the rim of the glass using a knife. Less is more for a prettier look.
  2. Sugary Crown:
    • Dip the fluff-edged glass into blue sanding sugar, ensuring a perfect, shimmering crown.

Toast to the Holidays

Whether you’re hosting a party or simply treating yourself like royalty, the Jack Frost cocktail is the perfect companion for the holidays.

Channel your inner Elsa, sit back on your throne, and savor the magic of the season.

Happy Holidays!
