Cherry Tomato Martini

Sharing is caring!

Move over, Bloody Mary—there’s a new girl in town, and she’s my new Sunday sipper: the Cherry Tomato Martini. I can’t even explain how unexpectedly delicious this cocktail is! I’m having fun coming up with ideas to use my beautiful homegrown produce, and this is the best one by far!

Is it so delicious because I literally picked the tomatoes off the vine to make the drink? Well, maybe—but I’m sure it would be just as incredible using tomatoes from the store, because everything is in season right now!

You must make this cocktail as soon as you can while tomatoes are so fresh and sweet. I think the combo of the sweet cherry tomatoes with the vermouth and vodka is incredible, and the apple cider vinegar adds a tart and sweet note of its own that really puts this over the top!

But maybe it’s the olive oil with the fresh cracked pepper that gives it that shockingly delicious taste. All I can say is—you have to experience this for yourself to understand how good it really is.

Ready to impress? Follow these simple steps…

Why You’ll Love This Garden-Fresh Martini

This isn’t your average savory cocktail. The Cherry Tomato Martini is a vibrant, bold, and slightly unexpected twist on traditional martinis. If you’re a tomato lover or just someone who enjoys trying something new and seasonal, this cocktail is going to be your next obsession.

What makes it special is the balance of flavor: juicy, sun-ripened cherry tomatoes bring in sweetness and acidity, while vodka and vermouth keep it grounded with that classic martini backbone.

Then comes the apple cider vinegar—a tangy surprise that wakes everything up—and finally, those tiny drops of olive oil and a shower of cracked pepper for that extra kick of sophistication.

Using the Freshest Ingredients

The real secret to this cocktail? Super fresh produce. If you’ve got cherry tomatoes growing in your garden, this is the time to put them to glorious use.

I picked mine straight from the vine, and the flavor was out of this world. But store-bought cherry tomatoes will also work wonderfully, especially if you opt for a tri-color variety for extra flavor and visual appeal.

When choosing your tomatoes, look for ones that are sweet, plump, and bursting with juice. The more flavor in your tomatoes, the more unforgettable your martini will be.

Garnishes that Make It Shine

Garnishes are optional—but they add a beautiful touch both in flavor and presentation. I rimmed my martini glass with a little celery salt for a subtle, savory edge. Then I skewered two cherry tomatoes in different colors and tucked in a fresh basil leaf—because who doesn’t love a garden-fresh garnish?

And don’t skip the finishing touch: six little drops of olive oil and a few twists of freshly cracked pepper take this drink from great to show-stopping.

Make It a Garden Party

This martini is perfect for brunch, garden parties, or anytime you’re craving something refreshing but a little different. It’s sophisticated, seasonal, and totally sippable. Once you try it, I promise one won’t be enough.

If you’re looking to shake up your cocktail routine, this Cherry Tomato Martini is the way to do it. It’s bold, bright, and bursting with seasonal flavor—thanks to juicy cherry tomatoes, zingy vinegar, and that stunning peppery olive oil finish. Whether you’re sipping solo on the porch or serving it at your next summer get-together, this drink is guaranteed to wow.

Don’t let tomato season pass you by without trying this one. It’s a garden cocktail you’ll want to make again and again.
