Wicked Martinis: For A Magical Night

Sharing is caring!

Have you seen Wicked yet? This incredibly popular movie is the hit of the holiday season! The story celebrates the profound friendship between two girls from very different backgrounds. It’s the perfect movie to see this holiday with your besties. And just like with the Barbie movie, people are flocking to the theater—and pregaming before the show.

I’ve got just the thing to set the mood: Wicked Martinis! Whether you’re feeling like a “good little witch” or a bit “wicked,” these cocktails are a fun and festive way to celebrate. For Glinda vibes, we have a beautiful pink Cosmopolitan. If you’re channeling your inner bad witch, go for the vibrant green Sour Appletini.

Both Wicked martinis are super easy to make, quick to whip up before or after the theater, and guaranteed to get you into the holiday spirit. Ready to learn how to make these magical drinks?

The Good Witch Martini: A Perfectly Pink Cosmopolitan

Are you channeling Glinda the Good Witch? Then this elegant pink Cosmopolitan is the perfect choice. It’s light, refreshing, and sparkly—just like her personality!

Ingredients for the Pink Cosmo

  • Vodka: The base spirit for a smooth finish.
  • Cointreau: Adds a hint of orange sweetness.
  • Cranberry Juice: For that signature pink hue.
  • Fresh Lime Juice: Brings a zesty tang.

How to Make It

  1. Rim your martini glass with pink sugar for a festive touch. Simply run a lemon or lime rind around the rim, then dip it into pink sugar.
  2. In a shaker filled with ice, combine vodka, Cointreau, cranberry juice, and lime juice.
  3. Shake well until chilled and strain into your prepared glass.
  4. For an extra magical touch, sprinkle a bit of luster dust into the drink—it’ll sparkle like the Emerald City!

The Wicked Witch Martini: A Vibrant Green Sour Appletini

If you’re feeling a bit mischievous, the Sour Appletini is just what you need. This striking green cocktail is tangy, bold, and wickedly fun.

Ingredients for the Sour Appletini

  • Vodka: A neutral base to let the apple flavor shine.
  • Sour Apple Schnapps: The star of the show, with its tart and fruity flavor.
  • Sour Apple Mix: Intensifies the sour, green apple notes.

How to Make It

  1. Rim your martini glass with green sugar for a wicked finish. Follow the same process as the Cosmo but with green sugar.
  2. Fill your shaker with ice, vodka, sour apple schnapps, and sour apple mix.
  3. Shake vigorously, then strain into your green sugar-rimmed glass.
  4. Add a sprinkle of luster dust for that shimmering touch.

A Festive Presentation

The secret to taking these cocktails over the top lies in the presentation:

  • Colored Sugar Rims: Pink sugar for the Cosmopolitan and green for the Appletini.
  • Luster Dust: Adds an enchanting sparkle to each drink, making them look as magical as they taste.

A Holiday Memory Worth Sipping

These Wicked Martinis are more than just cocktails—they’re an experience. Whether you’re pregaming for the movie or hosting a fun holiday night in, they’ll bring a touch of whimsy to your gathering. Pair them with your favorite friends (or adult daughters!) and toast to making memories. After a couple of these, you might even feel like skipping down the yellow brick road!

So grab your shaker, mix up these festive drinks, and let the holiday magic begin. Cheers to Wicked, good friends, and unforgettable nights!
