The Lone Ranger: Your New Summertime Cocktail

Sharing is caring!

Summertime is around the corner, so it’s time to lighten up, relax, and refresh! This Lone Ranger cocktail checks off all the boxes. It is so light and refreshing and is the perfect Summertime Sparkler! When I first discovered this drink, it did seem like a weird combo to me, but oh no, it is a wonderful mix that is my new go-to cocktail for the Summer!

The Lone Ranger is like a take on the French 75 but with Tequila. It was invented by a bartender in Portland, Oregon, who thought to replace the gin with tequila and the champagne with Rose Prosecco and named it the Lone Ranger!

It’s a combo of Tequila, Lemon Juice, Simple Syrup, and Rose Prosecco. Once Summer rolls in, everyone is ready to lighten up their cocktail selection. This drink is perfect because it uses Tequila, which is so popular right now, and Rose Prosecco.

Rose is popular when the temperatures rise, and it gives this drink an unexpected fizz that is super delightful!

How to Mix The Lone Ranger

With Summer almost here and the temperature rising, bubbles are the way to go! Also, Rose over plain prosecco is not only pretty but quite refreshing and super popular right now!

So to mix these up, it couldn’t get any easier. Nothing fancy, and you can mix it right in the glass! Just fill a tall glass with ice and add your Tequila, Simple Syrup, Lemon Juice, and top it off with Rose Prosecco!

Garnish that beautiful cocktail with a lemon twist, and you are ready to grab your sunglasses and a beach towel and head to the pool!

Making the Simple Syrup

  1. Add Sugar and Water to a small Sauce Pan and bring to a boil.
  2. Let simmer and thicken for about 10 minutes, then cool.

Assembling The Lone Ranger

  1. To an ice-filled tall glass, add Tequila, Lemon Juice, and Simple Syrup.
  2. Top with Rose Prosecco.
  3. Garnish with a Lemon Twist.

Big Batch Instructions

You can easily make these in a Big Batch. Just get a pitcher and use 2 1/4 cups of Tequila, 1 1/2 cups of Lemon Juice, 3/4 cup of Simple Syrup, and chill till you are ready to serve.

Then add the whole bottle of Rose Prosecco. This should make about 12 servings!

Well, if you’re like me and don’t have a pool, you can head to the backyard and sip on this lovely cocktail and soak up the sun!

Here’s to Summer – Lighten up, Relax, and Refresh your soul with The Lone Ranger!

This delightful cocktail will become your favorite companion for those warm, sunny days, ensuring that every sip is a celebration of the season. Cheers to new favorites and unforgettable summers!
