Classic Shrimp Dip: A Family Favorite
Sometimes there’s nothing better than an oldie but goodie classic recipe like this one! Good old Shrimp Dip made with Campbell’s Cream of Shrimp Soup! Oh boy, does this bring back great memories for me with my sister Fran.
When I first got married she would make this for us on a Friday night and we would eat the whole bowl with a bag of Doritos! Nothing is better and what a great time to enjoy a classic than on Mother’s Day!
A Trip Down Memory Lane
Now because of my darling sister Fran, I was able to make this because she came upon the mother lode of Cream of Shrimp Soup at her local grocery store and was kind enough to send me 5 cans of this beloved soup.
It used to be hard to find but I think it’s made a comeback and you’ll be able to find it at your grocery store as well.
The Making of a Classic Shrimp Dip
This is super easy and quick to make but after you whip it up you should chill it for a couple of hours as it tastes best this way.
All you need is some inexpensive cleaned and cooked shrimp, softened cream cheese, celery, chives or scallions, Worcestershire, and a bit of Lawry’s Salt and Onion Powder.
Mix this all up and chill for a bit then pop open those Doritos or if you’re being good it’s great with carrots and Enjoy!
Why It’s a Mother’s Day Must-Have
This will be a sure crowd pleaser on Mother’s Day plus it’s super inexpensive to make so now you’ll have more time and money to spend on Mom!!
Hope you enjoy this classic with your family or even by yourself on a Friday night watching a movie! Enjoy this yummy dip! Happy Mother’s Day!
