Pesto Pizza Bites
I have to say the pesto pizza bites are one of the easiest appetizers you’ll ever make but at the same time, it is so darn tasty!
I came up with this in a pinch when I was invited over for an impromptu get-together at a neighbor’s. I looked in the fridge and this is what I came up with and everyone loved them. So, I’ve been making them for the last 20 years!

Ingredients Needed
All you need to make these pesto pizza bites are a baguette of Italian bread, a jar of pesto, fresh tomatoes, and a little mozzarella cheese!
These whip up in minutes and cook for only 12 minutes so it makes them a great quick appetizer you can serve for any occasion.
Preparation Steps
- Prepare Your Bread: Slice your baguette thin and place it on an oiled baking sheet.
- Add the Pesto: Open a jar of pesto and smear a little on each slice.
- Top It Off: Top with a thinly sliced tomato and a little mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle a little oregano so it looks like you had to put a little effort into it…lol!
- Bake: Bake these up for 12 minutes and that’s it folks..super quick and easy but oh so yummy!
Serving Suggestions
These little pizzas would be great served alongside some fresh fruit skewers or my Strawberry Mango Salsa! I like to serve a hot appetizer along with a cold one to balance.

Equipment
- 1 Baking Sheet
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Shredded Mozarella Cheese
- 1 Jar Basil Pesto
- 2-3 Roma Tomatoes Sliced Thin
- 1 TB Oregano
- 1 Long Thin Baguette Sliced in 1/4" slices
- Olive Oil Cooking Spray to coat baking pan
Instructions
- Spray baking sheet with Olive Oil
- Slice Baguette in 1/4 inch slices and top with about a tsp of Pesto per slice
- Add thinly sliced tomato and top with a tsp of so of shredded mozzarella cheese
- Sprinkly lightly with Oregano and bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes
