Frozen Mango Margaritas
My absolute favorite Margarita is a frozen mango margarita! I love the taste of Mango and it’s perfectly paired with Tequila and lime to make the best Margarita! You can make this frozen or fresh but frozen is easier and pretty darn yummy!
Now, let’s dive into how you can turn this delightful flavor combination into a refreshing treat for your next gathering, especially fitting for a vibrant Cinco de Mayo celebration.
Why Frozen Mango Chunks are a Game-Changer
I like to use Frozen Mango Chunks to make this drink. Peeling mangos and getting enough fruit to make a few drinks can take a bit so I like the ease of Frozen.
You can certainly make them with fresh mango just double the amount of ice in your blender if you’re making frozen drinks. Or you could just use fresh mango and puree it with the other ingredients and serve this over ice.
I use Frozen Mango just because it’s easier and tends to give the drink a lot of Mango flavor.
I usually add about 1/2 cup of Mango Chunks ( about 12 pieces) per drink along with about a cup of ice to bring this to the right consistency. You don’t want to add too much ice as it will water down the drink. That’s why I love to use frozen Mango because it makes it smooth and creamy like a Tequila Sorbet!
Crafting the Perfect Frozen Mango Margarita
Ready to mix up a storm? Here’s how to bring this tropical treasure to life:

- 1 1/2 Oz Silver Tequila
- 1 Oz Cointreau or Triple Sec
- 1 Oz Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
- 1/2 Cup Frozen Mango Chunks (approximately 12-15 pieces)
- 1 Lime for juicing
Instructions:
- Prep Your Lime: Squeeze enough to get 1 Oz of fresh lime juice.
- Blend the Flavors: In a blender, combine the lime juice, tequila, Cointreau, and frozen mango with about 1 cup of ice.
- Mix to Perfection: Blend everything for about a minute or until the mixture is smooth.
- Serve with Style: Pour the luscious mix into your favorite Margarita glass and enjoy!
Make A Pitcher Of Frozen Mango Margaritas
If you’re making drinks for a crowd just make a full blender. Fill your blender 1/2 way with ice then a just add about 2 cups of Mango and your tequila, Cointreau and juice for the appropriate number of drinks. One blender should make about four margaritas.
Tips for Serving a Crowd
- Prep Ahead: Rim the glasses with sugar before the event starts to save time.
- Self-Serve Station: Set up a self-serve margarita station with the margarita mix, garnishes, and rimmed glasses so guests can help themselves.
- Keep it Cold: If it’s a hot day, keep the margaritas cold by placing the serving container in a larger bowl filled with ice.
Enjoy!
I hope you give this yummy margarita a spin this Cinco De Mayo! If you like Mango this will be your new favorite way to drink a margarita! Mix up some of my guacamole and a pitcher of these incredibly yummy margaritas and you’ll be in Cinco De Mayo heaven! Have fun and Cheers!
