Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus

Lovely Asparagus spears tossed in a combo of Olive Oil, Fresh Lemon and spices then wrapped in Prosciutto and lightly drizzled with a Balsamic Glaze

Equipment

  • 1 Foil Lined Baking Sheet

Ingredients
  

  • 16 Thick Asparagus Spears Cleaned and trimmed of the woody bottom- You want to choose asparagus that is a bit thicker - thin rods will get too wilty
  • 2 TB Olive Oil
  • 2 Wedges Fresh Lemon Squeezed
  • 1/4 Tsp Salt
  • 1/4 Tsp Red Pepper Flakes
  • 3 Cranks Fresh Pepper
  • 1/2 Tsp Dried Basil
  • 1 TB Parmasen Cheese
  • 8 Slices Prosciutto Sliced in half the long way

Garnish

  • Drizzle Balsamic Glaze over the plated Spears

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 425 Degrees
  • Trim and clean asparagus and toss in a bowl with all ingredients besides Prosciutto and Glaze
  • Cut Prosciutto in half the long way and wrap each dressed spear in a spiral fashion down the length of the spear
  • Place asparagus on a foil lined pan and bake for 12 minutes
  • Place cooked asparagus on a serving dish and drizzle with the Glaze and serve hot!
