Edamame Dip

Your new favorite substitute for Hummus - A blend of Edamame Beans , Asian Flavors to give it a Umami Punch and brightness from Lemon and Lemon Zest!

Equipment

  • 1 Pan to Boil the Edamame Beans
  • 1 Food Processor
  • 1 Zester
  • 1 Juicer

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Cups Frozen Edamame Beans One Bag equals 2 cups - Make sure to buy beans out of the pods
  • 1/3 Cup Reserved Water from boiling Beans
  • 2 TB Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1 Tsp Lemon Zest
  • 1 TB Soy Sauce
  • 1 TB Hoisin Sauce
  • 1 Tsp Fish Sauce
  • 1 Tsp Grated Ginger
  • 2 Cloves Garlic Chopped
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt and Generous Fresh Black Pepper
  • 1 Tsp Sesame Seed Oil
  • 1/4 Cup Olive Oil

Instructions
 

  • Boil 4 Cups of Water and add Bag of Frozen Beans with l Tsp of Salt - Boil for 6 minutes
  • During the last minute reserve 1/3 Cup of the Water from the Beans
  • Drain Beans and add to Food Processer with all the above ingredients
  • Juice your Lemon First then use same lemon to get about a tsp of Zest and add to above ingredients.
  • Blend in the Food Processor or a Blender until smooth
  • Serve with Pita Crackers, Sesame Crackers and an array of fresh veggies to offer an interesting and beautiful spread - Enjoy!
