Blue Eyed Cicada

A delicious cocktail fashioned after the famous bugs that are bombarding us - it's a combo of Tequila, Espresso, White Creme de Menthe and Half & Half. Sprinkle the top with Cinnamon, Cocoa and Sugar and you've made yourself a delightful drink!

Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 Oz Silver Tequila
  • 1 Oz Espresso Homemade or buy cold brew
  • 1/2 Oz White Creme de Menthe
  • 1 Oz Half & Half

Garnish for Rim and Top of Cocktail

  • 1/2 Tsp Cocoa Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 Tsp Sugar
  • 1 Pinch Nutmeg directly in the drink
  • 2 Blueberries Skewered 1 Extra Blueberry to run around the rim

Instructions
 

  • Mix together Cocoa, Cinnamon and Sugar
  • Run a sliced blueberry around the rim of Martini Glass and dip in above
  • Fill p shaker half way with ice and add Tequila, Espresso, Cream and Creme de Menthe and shake well
  • Strain above into prepared Martini glass
  • Sprinkle a pinch of Nutmeg on top of the the drink
  • Take 1/4 Tsp of remaining garnish mix and sprinkle over the top of the drink and then garnish with skewered blueberries
