Strawberry Ice Cubes in Prosecco

Ice cubes made from Strawberry Jam and water with a big berry in the middle. Float this in your Champangne Coupe for a delicious and lovely drink to serve those you love

Equipment

  • Microwave To melt Jam or could be done in a pan on the stove
  • 1 Baking Sheet to put your mold on to freeze

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Bottle Brut Prosecco or Champagne
  • 6 Large Strawberries Cut off a bit of the bottom so they sit upright in the mold
  • 8 Heaping TB Strawberry Jam
  • 1 1/2 Cups Water

Instructions
 

  • Place your silicone mold on a baking sheet and place one cleaned and prepared berry in the middle of each mold
  • Scoop Jam in a pyrex cup and Microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds - Check half way through and mix - Heat only till melted
  • Mix water into the melted jam to make about two cups and pour over the berries in each mold
  • Position the berry in the middle of each cup stem side up and freeze till solid - By cutting off the bottom tip of the berry it enables it to sit up straight in the cup and will only be covered 3/4 of the way with the Jam Mixture
  • Put one ice cube in a coupe style glass and pour champagne or Prosecco over and serve
