Day of the Dead Margarita

A delicious Fall combination of flavors from Tequila, Cointreau, Apple Cider, Lime and a dollop of Maple Syrup garnished with a cinnamon sugared Apple Slice. Garnish this beautiful drink with pomegranate seeds and marigolds to celebrate those you've lost on this special day

Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Oz Silver Tequila
  • 1 Oz Cointreau
  • 1 Oz Apple Cider
  • 1 Oz Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice Approx 2 small limes
  • 1 Tsp Maple Syrup

Garnish

  • 1 TB Pomegranate Seeds
  • 1 Slice Apple cut in the round then lightly brushed with lemon or apple cider then dipped in Cinnamon Sugar 1 TB Sugar and l Tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 Small Marigold Flowers Dead of the Dead Tradition - Marigolds are edible flowers just wash first

Instructions
 

  • In a cocktail shaker filled with ice add the Tequila, Cointreau, Apple Cider, Lime Juice, and Maple Syrup and shake
  • Pour over ice in a margarita glass
  • Garnish with Prepared Apple Slice either floating in the drink or on the rim
  • Garnish with Pomegranate Seeds and Marigold Flowers
