Chickies in a Blanket

An array of Chicken Sausages wrapped up in a blanket of yummy Pillsbury crescent rolls. Serve these little sausage bites with a spicy ketchup and a honey mustard sauce as a delightful dip!

Equipment

  • 1 Baking Sheet
  • 36-40 Toothpicks or small skewers

Ingredients
  

  • 2 10 oz Chicken Sausages Gilberts or Aidells
  • 1 8 oz Tube Crescent Dough Sheet or Crescent Rolls

Ketchup Dipping Sauce

  • 1/4 Cup Ketchup
  • 1 TB Yellow Mustard
  • 2 Tsp Sriracha

Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce

  • 1/2 Cup Mayo
  • 1 TB Dijon or Spicy Mustard
  • 1 TB Yellow Mustard
  • 2 TB Honey
  • 1 Tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/8 Tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/8 Tsp Paprika
  • 1/8 Tsp Black Pepper

Instructions
 

  • Unroll the sheet of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls or Dough Sheet
  • Place sausage on edge and roll over the sausage then cut dough to cover the sausage lengthwise
  • Repeat with all sausages - there is usually 4 sausages per pack so you will have 2 sausages left over if you use two packs of sausages.
  • Bake 375 degrees for 25 minutes until golden brown
  • Remove from oven and cut into approximately 6 bite size pieces per sausage
  • Transfer to serving dish and label with small card the type of sausage you are serving

Ketchup Dipping Sauce

  • Mix Ketchup, Mustard and Sriracha in a small serving Bowl

Honey Mustard Sauce

  • Mix mayonnaise, mustards, honey, vinegar and spices in a bowl. Transfer to a serving bowl.
