Best Hanky Pankies
A combo of breakfast sausage, bacon, onions, and spices mixed with Velvetta cheese and served on cocktail rye bread

Bake Time then Broil for 2 Minutes 5 minutes mins
Total Time 7 minutes mins
1 Baking Sheet
1 Saute Pan
- 1 Loaf Cocktail Rye Bread Found in the Deli
- 1/2 Roll Bulk Mild Breakfast Sausage Such as Jimmy Deans
- 4 Slices Bacon
- 1/2 Pound Velvetta Cheese cut in cubes
- 1/4 Med Onion finely minced
- 1/4 Tsp Red Pepper Flakes
- 1/4 Tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 Tsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 3 Sliced Green Onions to top Or you can top with minced Parsley
Fry bacon and remove from pan and crumble when cool
Add sausage and cook half way when still slightly pink add onions
Once cooked through add bacon back in pan and add worcestershire, garlic powder and red pepper and mix well
Add chunks of velvetta and heat till melted then remove from heat
Place cocktail rye bread on baking pan and top each piece with a heaping TB of the sausage mixture
Bake at 425 degrees for 5 -7 minutes then broil to crisp up for 2 more minutes
Top with finely chopped green onions or parsley and serve
