Beer Cheese Dip
The taste of traditional Beer Cheese made into a dip that can be enjoyed with crackers, veggies or Hot Pretzels

1 Cheese Grater
1 Med Sauce Pan
- 3 TB Butter
- 3 TB Flour
- 2 TB Finely Minced Onion
- 3/4 Cup Half & Half
- 2/3 Cup Beer Lager but not Dark Beer
- 1 Tsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 Heaping Tsp Dijon Mustard
- 1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/4 Tsp Paprika
- 1/4 Tsp Salt
- 10 Oz Sharp Cheddar Cheese Shredded About 2 1/2 Cups
Melt Butter in Med Sauce Pan and add minced onion to cook for 2 minutes
Add Flour and Whisk for 1 minute
Add Half & Half in a slow steady stream while whisking and cook 1 minute
Add each remaining ingredient one at a time while whisking
Remove from heat and put in serving bowl
Dip will thicken as it cools
Serve with Hot Pretzels or an array of breads, crackers or celery
