Star Shaped Brie & Jam Bites

Puff Pastry cut into Star Shapes and stuffed with Brie and a dollop of Red Raspberry Jam

Equipment

  • 1 3 inch Star Cookie Cutter
  • 1 1 inch Star Cookie Cutter
  • 1 Baking Pan lined in Parchment

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Box Frozen Puff Pastry Sheets Thawed
  • 1 Round Brie Cheese
  • 1/4 Cup Red Raspberry Jam
  • 1 Whisked Egg To seal the stars and brush the outside before baking

Instructions
 

  • Roll out thawed puff pastry on a floured surface in a 10 x 15 inch rectangle
  • Cut 16 Stars out of the Pastry then using the smaller Star cut out the middles of 8 of the Stars
  • Transfer the uncut Stars to a Parchment Paper lined baking sheet then repeat the above steps with the additional sheet of Puff Pastry
  • Cut small thin slices of Brie and place in the middle of the uncut Stars
  • Put 1/4 Tsp of Red Raspberry Jam on top of each piece of Brie being careful to keep it only in the middle - do not add too much Jam or too large slices of Brie as it will just seep out the sides
  • Using a brush or your fingers brush the edges of the above with egg wash then place the cut stars carefully on top lining up the edges of the stars
  • Seal each star with your fingers gently then fork them to seal in the cheese
  • Brush the tops of the stars with the egg wash so they brown nicely
  • If you like you can brush the small remaining stars with egg wash and sprinkle with some lemon pepper and salt or Parm cheese to serve and adorn the plate
  • Cook in a preheated oven at 400 degrees for approx 12 minutes till lightly browned
