These meatballs are juicy, flavorful, and perfect for entertaining. Whether you’re watching the game or just looking for a crowd-pleasing appetizer, this recipe is a winner.
Let’s dive into how to make these Sweet & Spicy Turkey Meatballs for your big game day spread!

Why Homemade Turkey Meatballs Are Worth It
First of all, you need to whip up the turkey meatballs. Trust me, there is nothing better than homemade meatballs. It only takes about 20 minutes, and they’re so much better than those frozen mystery meat options.
To make the meatballs, I use ground turkey, fresh parsley, minced garlic, panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, oregano, salt, and pepper, all mixed together with a whisked egg.
Once the mixture is ready, form it into bite-sized balls.
This recipe yields about 25 meatballs from one pound of turkey.

Cooking the meatballs is simple. Heat a bit of oil in a pan, fry the meatballs for a few minutes until they’re browned on the outside, and then lower the heat to cook them through.
These little bites are already packed with flavor, but the magic really happens when you add the sauce!

The Secret to the Sweet & Spicy Sauce
The sauce is where all the bold, sweet, and spicy flavors come together. It’s incredibly easy to make with just a handful of ingredients:
- Apricot or Peach Jam for sweetness
- Chili Crisp for heat and crunch
- Soy Sauce for a salty, umami depth
- Rice Wine Vinegar to balance the sweetness
- Sriracha for an extra spicy kick
- Fresh Ginger for a bit of warmth and zing

If you’ve never tried chili crisp, it’s an amazing condiment made with garlic, chili flakes, and chili oil. It adds a wonderful texture and spicy flavor to the sauce, taking it to the next level.
To make the sauce, simply mix all the ingredients in a saucepan and let it simmer on medium-low heat for about 15 minutes.
This allows the flavors to meld and creates the perfect consistency for coating the meatballs.

Putting It All Together
Once the sauce is ready, transfer your cooked meatballs to a crockpot. Pour the sweet and spicy sauce over the meatballs, making sure they’re fully coated.
Keep the crockpot on the warm setting, and you’re ready to serve!
This is what makes these Sweet & Spicy Turkey Meatballs such a perfect game-day appetizer. The crockpot keeps everything warm and ready to go while you enjoy the game (or the commercials).
Plus, they’re easy to grab with a toothpick, making them the ultimate party food.

Tips for a Stress-Free Super Bowl Snack
- Double the recipe: These meatballs are so addictive that you might want to double the batch, especially if you’re feeding a crowd. Trust me, they’ll go fast!
- Prep ahead of time:Â You can make the meatballs and the sauce the day before. Just reheat everything in the crockpot before serving.
- Adjust the spice level: If you’re serving guests who don’t love too much heat, you can reduce the amount of sriracha or chili crisp in the sauce.
Conclusion
Whether you’re hosting a Super Bowl party or just looking for a delicious appetizer, these Sweet & Spicy Turkey Meatballs are guaranteed to be a hit.
The combination of juicy turkey meatballs and the bold Asian-inspired sauce is simply irresistible. So, get your crockpot ready and enjoy a stress-free, flavor-packed game day!
