Salami Roses: The Heart of the Board

The star attraction of this charcuterie board is undoubtedly the salami roses.

Creating them is a breeze! Arrange slices of salami around the edge of a shot glass, overlapping them until you achieve a rose shape.

Experiment with different types and sizes of salamis to add depth and variety to your display.

Cheese Roses

Complementing the salami roses are cheese roses. Roll up your favorite cheeses and secure them with toothpicks. This simple addition adds both texture and flavor to your bouquet.

Green Onion Flowers

For an extra touch, incorporate flowers made from green onions. Slice the white part into thin pieces, stopping about an inch from the top, and fray them to resemble a flower.

Fruits and Veggies: Blooms of Flavor

No charcuterie board is complete without a touch of freshness. Use large red grapes and cauliflower florets strategically placed to mimic additional roses. Scatter the various meats, cheeses, and fruits throughout the bouquet, creating a visually appealing arrangement.

Garnish with Herbs

Enhance the aesthetic with a sprinkle of fresh herbs like sage leaves or thyme. Alternatively, basil or spinach leaves can be used for a burst of color and flavor.

Crafting the Perfect Bouquet

To add the finishing touch, create flower stems using the leftover green parts of the onions. Take a thin slice and tie them into bows. This not only adds a charming detail but also enhances the overall presentation.

Transportation and Presentation

Heading to a party or a loved one’s home? Transport your masterpiece like a bouquet of roses. Wrap the bottom with parchment paper and tie it with a pretty bow for a delightful and portable Valentine’s Day gift.

The Right Board for the Job

Choosing the right board is crucial. Opt for boards in this shape, easily available on Amazon or Target.

A black one with a handle is not only stylish but also practical for incorporating the onion stems. It also makes wrapping for transportation a breeze.
