The Perfect Elegant Drink

If the elegant and easy way is what you’re thinking then serve my Pomegranate Champagne Cocktail!

What is more festive than champagne, a beautiful shot of pomegranate liquor, and some floating pomegranate seeds?

Oooh la la what a beautiful drink and oh so festive!

Champagne Options

Champagne is the perfect and always appropriate thing to serve during the holidays. You can choose many different options at many different price levels.

My favorite champagne is Korbel Brut which is the one with the white foil. It’s cheap but doesn’t taste like it.

I also like Prosecco which is a bit lower in alcohol than regular champagne. I usually go for LaMarca which is very reasonable but a delicious Italian Prosecco that can be easily found even at Target.

If you are really trying to save money but don’t want to compromise on taste Costco sells a decent Prosecco for as low as $7.50!

Mastering the Champagne Opening

You need to be careful when opening your bottle of champagne. It’s so much fun to hear the pop but you certainly don’t want to have your champagne pouring out everywhere.

So the trick to opening a bottle is to always hold the cork but turn the bottle itself.

It helps to use a rubber jar gripper or a dishcloth as a grip.

Go slow and ease the cork out slowly and you’ll still get your pop but not the mess!

The Star Ingredient: Pomegranate Liquor

What makes this drink so festive is the pomegranate liquor.

I used Pama and it is oh-so-tasty and makes your drink a beautiful red.

By using this liqueur you’re making a cocktail, not a mimosa. If you want a mimosa just use pomegranate juice instead of the booze!

Garnish With Pomegranate Seeds

With either drink, you should garnish your drink with pomegranate seeds.

During the holidays fresh pomegranates are abundant and reasonably priced. If you cannot find them or you’re making this drink out of season you can get frozen seeds at your grocery store.

When you add the seeds to the champagne they make a beautiful fizz and add a festive appeal to your cocktail.

Pairing Suggestions:

When serving such a beautiful cocktail, it’s important to ensure that your appetizers match the elegance of the drink. Consider pairing the Pomegranate Champagne Cocktail with delectable options like Crab Toasts, Shrimp Shooters, or an elegant charcuterie platter.

These appetizers will enhance the taste and appearance of the cocktail, making your holiday gathering even better.
