The Best Guacamole Recipe: A Flavorful Delight Anytime!

Sharing is caring!

Around my house, it doesn’t have to be Cinco De Mayo to indulge in a big batch of Guacamole. In fact, I love Guacamole so much that I often spread it on toast for breakfast! After years of experimenting, I believe I’ve perfected my recipe, hence the name Best Guacamole!!

Let’s get into the details of how to make this delicious guacamole that’s perfect for any occasion!

Choosing the Perfect Avocados

The key to good Guacamole is obviously choosing good Avocados.

A ripe Avocado will be slightly soft to the touch but not dark brown. If the skin is all dark brown and you can mush it with your fingers it is too ripe.

Choose fruit that is a pretty green maybe with slightly darker markings and a slight give when you squeeze it between your fingers.

Preparing the Avocados

To cut an avocado you slice it the long way then twist and it will come right apart. Take your knife and stab into the middle of the pit and twist and the pit will come right out.

You always want to save your pits to put back into the prepared Guacamole as the pits help keep it from browning.

You need to bury them into the Guacamole as they only keep green what they are touching.

Mash and Mix

Once you have sliced your Avocados remove the flesh with a spoon and put in a bowl.

Taking a fork I just mash the avocado leaving it a bit chunky because I like to have little pieces of Avocado in my dip.

The rest is super easy.

You just slice up your garlic, red onion, Cilantro and jalapeno. Put this all in the bowl and add the spices, lime and a big dollap of Medium Spice Salsa.

I like to think that this addition of Salsa is my little secret that makes my guacamole so tasty!

Final Touches and Storage

That’s all there is to making guacamole! It’s incredibly easy and far superior to store-bought versions laden with preservatives.

Making your own guacamole ensures freshness and quality that can’t be matched by anything from the store.
