What is an Aperol Spritz

The Aperol Spritz is a beloved Italian tradition. They serve it for any occasion where there are friends and family relaxing and enjoying appetizers and a aperitif before dinner.

This refreshing and light cocktail, with its vibrant orange hue, is not only a treat for the taste buds but also a visual delight, making it an ideal addition to your Easter brunch.

Aperol Spritz Ingredients

To create this delightful drink, you’ll need a few simple yet essential ingredients:

  • 3 Parts Champagne or Prosecco (Brut)
  • 2 Parts Aperol
  • 1 Part Club Soda
  • 1 Slice Orange (for garnish)

Choosing the right Champagne or Prosecco is crucial, and opting for a Brut variety adds a crisp and dry element to the cocktail.

The traditional Aperol Spritz is made with Prosecco but I used Champagne. There is little to no difference expect in the alcohol content which champagne has a bit more.
